1. Delete directly in the app
- Open Re:HEY and sign in.
- Go to Settings → Manage account → Delete account.
- Review what will be deleted and reauthenticate if prompted.
- Confirm deletion. Re:HEY removes private media first and then deletes the account and associated data.
2. Request deletion without the app
Send the request from the email address associated with your account. We may request only the information reasonably needed to verify account ownership. Never send a password, verification code, or full payment card number.

Subject: [Re:HEY] Account and data deletion request
Email requests are accepted 24 hours a day. We aim to provide an initial human response within two business days during our staffed support schedule.
3. Data deleted
- Authentication account and sessions
- Pet profiles and selected images
- Conversations, owner-confirmed records, observations, calendar events, and memories
- Push tokens, notification settings, account-linked events, and private media
Aggregated information that has been irreversibly anonymized cannot be linked back to your account and may remain. Billing, consent, fraud-prevention, or security records that must or may be retained under applicable law are separated, access-restricted, and kept only for the applicable period before deletion.
4. Check subscriptions separately
Deleting the Re:HEY app or your Re:HEY account may not cancel automatic renewal through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Before deleting your account, review or cancel Re:HEY under Apple ID → Subscriptions or Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
5. Timing and backups
In-app deletion normally completes once private storage and account data have been successfully removed. We complete verified email requests without undue delay. Manual identity checks or provider outages may take longer, subject to any shorter period required by applicable law.
Restricted disaster-recovery backups may retain residual copies for up to 7 days after deletion. They are not used for ordinary operations or individual account restoration and are permanently removed as the backup cycle expires. If a backup is restored for disaster recovery, the deletion request is reapplied before the restored system is returned to service.
